If yours can, opt in when you post and we make sure the nurse assistant is paid.

Post a list in the app
The hospital, the date and session, the cases and expected length, and a financial guide. The clearer the list, the more applications it gets.

Assistants apply
Over 400 assistants see it. You can name a preferred assistant or a skill you need.

We review and confirm
Assistants apply for lists they do not always suit. We review every applicant, choose the most suitable, and confirm they are credentialled at your hospital before the day.

We bill the assistant
MSA bills the assistant’s fee. Your billing process, your patient’s cost and your practice’s cost do not change.

[ Billing For Surgeons ]
We can bill for you too. MSA runs surgeon billing as its own service, for 2% plus GST. The Billing page
[ Precollected Fees And Top Ups ]
Where a practice precollects the assistant’s fee or charges a top up, that money comes to MSA in the first instance and is disbursed to the assistant.
[ Consent ]
Every assistant on MySurgAssist has agreed to this arrangement when they joined. There is nothing to negotiate on the day.
[ Cancellations ]
MSA does not charge surgeons a cancellation fee.

Ongoing work with an assistant MSA introduced continues through MSA. It is in the app Terms and Conditions.

What does it cost the practice?

Nothing. Recruitment is free for surgeons and practices. MSA’s fee comes out of the assistant’s fee, never added to yours.

Is an assistant guaranteed?

No. We cannot force an assistant to take a list. There is no set time to fill one: some go in seconds, some sit for a month. Organisation is rewarded. A clear list with a financial guide, posted early, is the one that fills.

What if I need someone today?

Post it. Assistants are often available at short notice in the event of emergency, and we chase it directly, but nothing is guaranteed.

Can I keep the same assistant?

Yes. Name them as preferred when you post, and ongoing work with an assistant MSA introduced continues through MSA.
